FECT – Foundation for Environment, Climate, and Technology – owns cleanair.lk, which is an air quality monitoring website. Sri Lanka’s Information and Communication Technology Agency acknowledged this website as one of two merit award winners in the Environment and Green Energy category of the e-swabhimani 2020- Digital Social Impact Awards. On the 23rd of March,2021, the award was presented to the FECT team members at the Hilton in Colombo.
This website provides information on air quality monitoring, air pollution sources and transport, the effects of air pollution on health, ecosystems, agriculture, the atmosphere, and air pollution mitigation.
The information on the cleanair.lk website is aimed at children in middle schools, youth pursuing higher education, community organizations and local government communities exposed to air pollution, advocates for environmental quality, and those who are keenly interested.
Furthermore, our site is accessible in all three languages, making it easier for everyone to learn about air quality monitoring.
